Kick off the party season with a flick of the hair, a tilt of the head and a pout of the lips and have the man you want falling at your feet this Christmas…
advises Elizabeth Kuhnke in her best selling book, Body Language for Dummies, a fascinating guide to displaying and interpreting body language, which is particularly important when it comes to flirting, as Elizabeth explains.
‘As the nights draw in and the temperature drops, the festive season is often the perfect time to find your ideal partner. It’s a fact that availability counts for more than beauty in the dating game so a man will pursue a woman who may not be the most attractive in the room, as long as she’s giving off signals indicating that she’s available.’
So, if there’s someone you have your eye on, it’s important that you communicate your interest to him early in the evening.
Elizabeth explains the best ways to catch his attention and keep it:
‘Whether he is standing across the room from you or sitting opposite, try to catch his gaze and then seductively tilt your head to one side. This is an appealing gesture because it indicates submissiveness, causing a surge of compassion from the man you’ve set your sights on. By tilting your head you reveal your neck, exposing the soft skin on a defenceless part of your body. This in turn makes you look helpless and sexy, a seductive combination, which few red blooded men can resist.’
As well as exposing your neck, Elizabeth also recommends reverting to the classic flirting technique of playing with your hair as she insists it does work!
‘Playing with your hair is going to grab his attention! Whether you’re tossing your head, flicking your tresses, or running your fingers through your locks, this action sends signals that you’re interested and available. An added benefit of playing with your hair is that when your raise your hand to your hair, you expose your soft underarm, which is another tender, vulnerable and sexually responsive part of the body.’
Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie are arguably two of the sexiest women in the world and this is largely down to their full lips which are seen as highly erotic.
So, pout away and turn his thoughts to kisses!
As well as full red lips, long legs are also a very desirable feature and as Elizabeth explains, the leg twine is consistently ranked as the most appealing sitting position a woman can take:
‘Pressing one leg against the other makes the muscles look fit and toned, a look that is both pleasing and tempting and crossing and uncrossing your legs is an enticing gesture which indicates your willingness and desire to be caressed.’
Elizabeth goes on to say: ‘Women tend to focus on their hair, outfit, and make-up when preparing to go out. What they must remember is that applying the right body language to attract a potential partner matters more than cosmetics or clothes. By putting these tips into action you’ll be well on your way to finding your perfect partner this festive season.’
