But not arrogant! Believe in yourself and your ideas, this will shine through when you start talking to people.
People buy people and you can see through someone whose not being genuine, trust yourself that ‘who you are’ is the greatest asset you’ve got.
When someone gets excited about their job, their hobby, their man, their new pair of shoes, it’s infectious isn’t it? – Don’t hold back on your passion for what you’re doing…
Take the time to look around you when you’re going about your busy day. Watch a leaf dance about in the wind. Watch the rain hit the windowpane. Laugh at the children running in the park. Don’t be blinkered, it dampers all those natural moments on inspiration.
Write a ‘to do’ list each day and feel great about ticking off the ones you’ve completed. Keep copies of all your receipts, invoices etc. and don’t leave your filing piling up – set aside an hour each week to get on top of things. You’ll feel less stressed – honest!
Starting something or doing something new, whatever it might be is going to be daunting. And it’s only natural to question what you’re doing and also to find all the reasons why you shouldn’t be doing it! But stick to your guns. Take deep breath and just do it (as Nike would say)…. You will be fine!
Do your homework and research your ideas, is there a market for what you’re offering and what are your competitors doing? And if you’re off to a meeting, wear a great pair of shoes….
Believe in yourself and let yourself go! Don’t let others pull you down. We’re all prone to having those moments of doubt so let yourself have them, then push forward again…don’t look back!
Share your thoughts and ideas with others; don’t get paranoid or worried that someone might laugh at you. If you’re struggling ask for help – it doesn’t make you weak.
And above all, Be whoever you are, whenever you want!
