Yes, we are all unique and individual, BUT, when it comes to personal style we do fall firmly into certain “tribes”. Talk to any Image Consultant and they will have their own take on what these are. They may even tell YOU which one they think you fit into. I think that is for you to decide. So have a peruse of the following and see what you think:
NEEDS to be noticed and make a statement at all times. Distinctive in her love of black and monochrome with splashes of vibrant red or purple. Accessories will be larger than life and eye catching.
The most unique and individual of all. Doesn’t follow convention and hates the thought of colour coordination or neatness. Will have a fondness for textures, prints and hats – quite possibly all at the same time!
Feminine, floaty and fabulous. This lady loves to be, well, ladylike. Frills, ruffles, sparkly jewels and shoes, shoes, shoes are the order of the day. Easily identifiable by long flowing tresses and a penchant for pink.
Never happier than dressed down in jeans, t-shirt and boots. Will be right at home in earthy tones, natural fabrics and comfy knitwear. Easy, relaxed and comfortable …bliss.
Think Audrey Hepburn and you’ve sussed this particular dame. Beautifully put together without a hair out of place. A perfect fit and fabulous fabrics are most important. Timeless, elegant and classy.
Life is a party with frocks to match. Body conscious clothing and killer heels are a must, oh, and don’t forget the stunning underwear. Dita Von Tesse is a huge role model as are all “red carpet” stunners.
Jeans with everything for this girl and lots of black. Masculine styling with a feminine twist are her wardrobe staples – think waistcoat, leather biker jacket and not a frill or flounce in sight. Edgy, sharp and forever young.
Recognise yourself?
I have to say that I fit into not one but three of the above. Others might see me differently but I know who I am.
Chances are that you too will identify with more than one of the above. You may even belong to a unique and, as yet, undiscovered “Tribe” of your own…
Please do let me in on it…I may like to join!
