How to shine on any occassion

Whether you want to impress that special man on a first date, attending the job of a lifetime interview, or even trying to sweet talk your bank manager, you will find that there are some things in life that you may want more than others, and what you want is exactly the business that I am in, so pay attention ladies with these 5 simple rules…

Visualise!

Yep, you’ve read this correctly…if you are nervous it will show, so give yourself a few moments to visualise the situation going perfectly before you go onto your meeting, and you will be surprised just how wonderfully it WILL turn out!

Introduction!

Always introduce yourself fluently and confidently, and be proud of who you are, as it will show that you have a certain self assurance and ease, which in turn will create trust!

Relax and Smile!

Yes that’s right girls, no matter what the situation, a smile will soften and dis-arm even the hardest of hearts or situations, especially if you are “relaxed” with your smile, as it will shine through with a certain honesty and integrity, so practice, practice, practice until your face hurts!

Acknowledgement!

No one likes bad manners or lack of recognition, so make sure you maintain eye contact, and nod in agreement, or even repeat some statements to make sure you have received the message correctly, and are taking the person in question, seriously.

Name Recall!

Try not to forget the persons name in question if you can help it, as this will cause you embarrassment, and take away some of your credibility. Instead try a little N.L.P. trick, such as repeating the persons name back to them, and then imagining something that is connected to them in some way that will picture them in your memory. For instance Victoria could have an imaginary crown above her head within your mind, or Peter could be the rabbit from Beatrix Potter! Use your imagination, go wild, it’s up to you!
