Introducing Nicola Pulvertaft
As someone who has spent most of her formative design years travelling through the many diverse cultures of the world Nicola has accumulated a fantastic archive of artifacts and influences. She uses these elements to inspire a range of unique pieces of jewellery that trancends fashion whims and results in something that will be cherished and adored by it’s wearer forever.
Straight from completing her degree in 3d design Nicola set up her jewellery studio on the edge of Londons jewellery mecca, Clerkenwell. Her business went from strength to strength as big retailers like Harvey Nics, Selfridges and Liberty lapped up her collections. The fashion magazines followed and she was soon to be a regular in the pages of Voque and Marie Claire.

As a Jewellery designer and Yoga teacher Nicola’s lifestyle brand Empress London has taken the natural path towards the themes of healing, protection and connecting with the spirit. These ancient practices were used by man thousands of years ago by the adornment of their bodies with talisman and found objects. They believed that the wearing of meaningful objects had the power to heal and protect. Ancient civilisations also used these talisman as a constant reminder of their values, whether it was the markings of belonging to a tribe or for connecting to a chosen deity.
Her Inspiration
The inspiration behind the ‘express yourself’ collection by Empress developed out of this primitive desire to use affirmation, mantra and deep meaning to reflect ones own personal beliefs, desires and values. Wearing your own written word message in the form of jewellery in an empowering statement that symbolises what we hold close to our hearts. These pieces of jewellery can be a simple word or a phrase that contains hidden meaning that is only understood by its owner.
An ‘express yourself’ piece can be given as a token of love, inspired by bearer or the wearer as a constant reminder of something that is significant in their life.

If you’re not lucky enough to win BUT would like to order your necklace making use of your 15% off, then all orders need to be placed by 7th December for delivery before Christmas just remember to quote ‘Fabulous’ when you place an order.

T&C’s: There is only prize on offer. The necklace will be made in silver with a maximum of two words. There is no cash alternative. Only registered members can enter and only one entry per member is allowed.
