It sounds straight forward doesn’t it? But being authentic can be hard for many women to do. It is usually due to not having the time and space to discover who you really are and what you really want. It can also be perceived as being too self-indulgent or self-absorbed. For example, how many of you know, really know, what your personal style is? And then, how many of you ACTUALLY honour this? Of course it applies to all other areas of our life too.
For the sake of well being and sanity, I urge you to take a read of the following “top tips” that I wish I had learnt a long, long time ago:
follow your gut instincts and take action NOW. Stay clear of those who may try and pull you off course. They can only advise from THEIR point of view and not yours.
like attracts like so let your TRUE self be seen and not a watered down version.
even if it upsets others or you feel unworthy
believe me they will take care of themselves so ensure you please yourself first.
none of us are. It’s more reliable to communicate effectively.
even if you currently perceive them to be weaknesses
and certainly don’t try and second guess this one.
they never will so act NOW – before others get there ahead of you or you miss out on that golden opportunity.
if it looks, sounds and feels right you than that is permission granted!
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. Dr Seuss.
