Introducing Ann Davis at The Tea Experience
The Tea Experience is a small specialist tea supplier. The aim of the business is to supply good quality teas and teawares at fair prices to enable everyone to discover the joys of drinking tea!
The business started out concentrating on Chinese teas and teawares, as this was the inspiration, although there are plans in motion to include teas and teaware from other places too.
Ann’s Inspiration
The inspiration for The Tea Experience came with the gift of an exquisite little teapot and some tea, including the flowering tea blooms, on a business trip to China. Sharing some of the Chinese teas with colleagues and friends it became apparent from their demands that many people like good quality teas although they weren’t always sure what to buy or try – hence the bulging suitcases of teas on every business trip. Plus it seems that for many the art of making a pot of tea had missed much of a generation too here!
With The Tea Experience the aim is help people reaccquaint themselves with the teapot, infuser mug or even the DIY teabag and to try different teas. Our Chinese agent insists there are more green teas than french wines to try, so just in that category you’d be unlucky not to find something you like.
The Tea Experience have some handmade Yixing teapots from China and at the end of November will be adding some beautiful hand made teapots & teabowls commissioned by us from Jane Schaffer, a York ceramist who has worked in Sweden and Japan as well the UK.

The Tea Experience has given Be Fabulous a gift set from the Flowering Tea Range. The gift set contains a glass teapot,two bowls and a box of flowering tea blooms all beautifully gift wrapped.
The Flowering Tea Blooms are handmade to order by The Tea Experience. Shunning the cheaper grades, only the finest silver needle teas are used. It’s very important to The Tea Experience that these teas look visually stunning and that they taste as good as they look too.
