Are you asleep to Abundance?

Article by

There can be a tendency to go through life assuming we’ve been dealt our cards, and that is our lot.

When any hardships come along they are accepted, albeit begrudgingly.

We accept that teenagers are unruly, you can’t find an ideal partner or that our boss is a bully. We love moaning collectively about our politicians being corrupt or incompetent or that the council never gets around to fixing those holes in the road.

Ultimately, we also buy into the idea that our bodies and minds degenerate, as we get older. Bits will drop off and there is nothing we can do about it other than taking a pill or buying the latest extortionate anti-ageing cream in the hope it will slow the process.

If any of these resonate with you, you are asleep to abundance.

Waking up to abundance offers a whole new lease of life. It is not without its hurdles to overcome, but are you ready to accept the challenge?

Challenge 1

Accept that the life you live is the one you created. This takes some guts to own up to, as it’s much easier to blame someone else.

Challenge 2

Recognise that to change it, all you need do is change your outlook. Your thoughts don’t become things, they are things.

Challenge 3

Embrace that when you change, the old uncomfortable patterns will disappear. This may mean entertaining a new job, a new relationship, a new location, or placing some bad habits with other more life-affirming ones.

Challenge 4

Get used to good things happening to you, seemingly at random, and life becoming easier. This might sound obvious, but strangely our guilt can kick in as if we don’t deserve it. Don’t worry, this soon passes.

Challenge 5

Enjoy sharing your new secrets with others. This can be especially challenging, as you have to let people suffer if they want to, and to find the way themselves. The adage of leading a horse to water holds true here.

Challenge 6

Sever the link between abundancy and material wealth. This doesn’t mean selling your home and giving all the money to charity. It means measuring, appreciating and enjoying emotional wealth, good health and a positive frame of mind, as well as having more than enough money to live on.

Challenge 7

You have to stay grounded with all of this and not run away with the fairies. An abundant lifestyle is the normal state for every person and living creature. It is our right, and any other state is unnatural and merely there to give us experience so when we become abundant, we truly appreciate it.

Good Luck!
